Importance of correct polymerisation of Colour Gel
If the coloured gel is not well cured, the adhesion of the colour to the builder gel will suffer, causing chipping and colour detachment.
The main danger of an incorrectly polymerised coloured gel is that it can cause allergies in customers! When the gel is removed at the next refill, the unpolymerised gel comes into contact with the skin in the form of filing dust, causing skin, eye or lung allergies.
How to ensure proper polymerisation?
After curing the colour, it is very important to check whether it has been cured correctly. How? By tapping the surface with a nail tool to check that it does not leave any dents or marks.
If this happens, it means that the product has not cured sufficiently. In this case, an additional curing cycle may be necessary. If the product has been applied too often, this will not help. When checking the polymerisation of non-sticky coloured gels such as BCOLOUR, the cured product must be dry to the touch. There must be no sticky residue on the surface.
